Ingredients
- 1 cup good quality Basmati Rice 1.5 cups water
- 1⁄2 cup cooked Wild rice
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp Wisakipakos Leaf Bitters
- Mint leaves for Garnish
Method
Wash the rice several times in a fine mesh colander and then let soak for at least one hour or overnight. Strain and let the rice rest for several hours.
Cook the wild rice as per package directions – be aware it takes about an hour to cook wild rice. Set aside
In a medium sized pot add water, salt and Basmati rice. Bring just to a boil, lower heat to very low, add Leaf bitters, cover and steam for 20 min until all moisture is absorbed.
Add cooked wild rice and fluff with a fork before serving – garnish with mint
